JOIN US FOR A REALLY LONG RIDE ON A REALLY SHORT DAY

THE MUCH LOVED RESTRAP SOLSTICE CENTURY IS BACK ONCE AGAIN!

Restrap are encouraging riders in the Northern hemisphere to make the most of the longest days of the year over the summer solstice weekend of the 23rd to 25th of June.
The challenge is to ride one 100 mile ride on either day.
The ride can be outdoors, indoors, on any terrain and any bike, so theres's no limits!
It's an even bigger challenge here in the Southern hemisphere where it's the middle of winter with the shortest days of the year.
If you're up to the challenge, you're welcome to register and do the ride on the day that suits you best and wherever it's convenient for you to do the distance.
The Everyday and Nova crew will be riding on Sunday the 25th of June, starting and finishing at the Green Point Lighthouse and anyone is welcome to come along for the ride.
It's not a race, there's no entry fee, no support and we'll be riding it much like a regular social Sunday ride, stopping for coffee or to take pictures along the way, basically just enjoying a day out on our bicycles with friends.
The plan is to meet at the lighthouse at Sunrise (just before 8am) and do a big loop of roughly 173km, aiming to get back to the lighthouse in time to enjoy some sundowners together.
Our route will take us up the West Coast to Melkbos where we will head inland to Philadelphia & Durbanville, then down south to Muizenberg and Kalk Bay before heading back to Green Point via Chapmans Peak drive and Hout Bay.
You're welcome to cut corners, add bits to the route as you go, or split off and ride home, whatever, as long as you ride the 100 miles required to qualify for the lucky draw.
